openandromaps.org is a premium source for OpenStreetMap vector maps in Mapsforge format. The map files contain data for elevation contour lines.
OpenAndroMaps provides some theme-files with rules to render the vector files on the phone for a special topic, e.g. cycle or hiking. The App maaloo Outdoor/Geocaching currently has one built in theme, it is derived from the Andromaps - MTB style. You do not need to install the provided themes. You only need the .map file from the .zip file
